I’m sitting here early on the morning we’re supposed to close on our lot – I still think someone’s playing a mean trick on me and that this isn’t actually really happening. We’ve been through SO much to get us here and while it’s not perfect, it’s a start and we’re SO thankful.
So to celebrate I’m sharing the room I’m possibly most excited about!
You know that feeling when you walk into a really luxurious hotel room? You throw yourself on the down covered bed, sink in deep and just let all the stress wash away. Our all-time favorite hotel is the Colcord and it’s impossible to be stressed about anything while we’re there. The marble covered floors and walls, huge glass shower, luxurious but simple and peaceful decor. And the bed. Oh gosh. That down-filled magnificent thing.
My dream is to have a master suite that feels like my favorite room at the Colcord. I want it to feel expensive and luxurious but also very simple and timeless with lots of white space to rest your eyes and mind.
We already have the fireplace and headboard so everything needed to be designed around that.
I’m also obsessed with these sconces. Please don’t judge me if I literally put them everywhere in my house…
I’m really excited to have more seating in our room – I currently have a little reading nook, but I’d love to have a place to sit with Austin and read and drink tea together – just like we always do at the Colcord!
Can I just go live in here right now please?
