I’m craving some neutral fall decor. It may not feel like Fall around here yet, but I see it fast approaching and my theory is: if we all wish for it enough, it will come right??
I’ve been holding off on decorating because the fall months do last awhile. You can bet this stuff will be up from September to almost December at our house. We have a hard rule that Christmas decor doesn’t go up until the Thanksgiving food has been eaten. (Motivation to eat those leftovers?!) So I try not to get ahead of myself with the Fall decor because I don’t want to get tired of it come November 1st!
This year I’m feeling inspired by neutral fall decor. I’m trying to be more thoughtful about making it fit into our regular home decor, making it look more natural and finding pieces that can be reused for other seasons (or everyday!)
Copper is my first love when it comes to home decor and it just screams FALL at this time of year! It’s so warm and inviting and bright and neutral all at the same time. My plan is to spray paint an old silver vase and a wine bottle to make copper vases on the cheap! We’ve tested literally every single copper spray paint in existence and this one is our favorite!
I love that I’ll be able to use this Lamb’s Ear garland for other seasons and events, and the cotton stems will go along with my regular decor whenever it needs a refresh.
I snagged the aqua glass plate chargers at Hobby Lobby’s 90% Spring Sale and the “Happy Thanksgiving” banner last Christmas for 90% off as well! (LOVE me some 90% off sales!!) I also already have the copper mugs and cutlery (those are our “fancy silver!”) But you can see what we have and love in the sources below!
I’ll share an update when I get these pretty things in my house!
